Choir Auditions
Today was choir auditions for Mountain View High school. They just have you audition to get to know you and see what kind of part you can sing, everyone gets in to the choir. I was very nervous. We had to do some warm-ups with the conductor, sing " My Country Tis of Thee," and sing 2 sight readings. I did fine on the warm-ups and singing, but not so well on the sight readings! Oh well!! He doesn't care! He said I had Soprano 2 or alto 1 type voice. ( The parts are Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto 1, and Alto 2.) I prefer the piano over singing! I would never be afraid to do a piano audition but I am for singing auditions.

Wow, that's awesome, that you are going to be in choir for Mountian View! Good job!! I so get what you mean I would be scared too if I had to do a singing audition. Did you have to sing alone for the audition?
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yeah you had to sing alone! They took you in a different room ( I went in the Orchestra room.) and its suppose to just be you and the teacher but I had the first time ( 4:00) so some people from Orchestra were in there! Thats what I didn't like!
